Staging Nothing
S-Ó Gallery
"Staging Nothing" was a group exhibition during our third year, where we had only three days to create and present the show. I reopened
Skeljungur as S-Ó Gallery.
Skeljungur was a response to COVID-19. During this time, our school lacked a cafeteria, so I set up a coffee booth where people could buy coffee and cakes that I made. Skeljungur was the name of a gas station, known as Shell in other countries.
I reopened Skeljungur with a different name, S-Ó Gallery, inspired by the Esso gas station. The innovative design of the booth allowed it to be turned around to form a white cube, which could be used as an exhibition space for displaying artwork. People could still buy coffee and cakes made by me.
